Armegeddon Expo - Oct 17/18 2009!

Well.. it's on again.. and well I thought they couldn't do better than last year when they had The Hewlett and Gary Jones and Kavan Smith....

Well I was wrong! The Inner geek in me is exciting to be going again... This time the line up is even better (although you really can't beat David... )

I'll be there to see Joe Flanigan (the line for his talk will be massive.. so that means more line ups :(...) Jason Mamoa, Paul McGillion. I'll be interested in Michael Welch too, although he's there more for Twilight than SG, and the robot chicken team too (which has free signings too whoo!)

Ohh any suggestions for questions that needs asking?

Hopefully I can post a few vids and photos up :D

Triple J's Hottest 100 - All over, done and dusted!

July 12th, 2009 (06:10 pm)

Well hotly tipped to be number 1, beating other Favs Joy Division - Love will tear us apart, Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven or John lennon - Imagine, and coming in as so - Nirvana - Smells like Teen Spirit. If that was the song that I did't mind beating Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah, it would be this!

My Top 10
My No.1. Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah (No. 3)
Followed by the other 9 in no particular order:
Something for Kate - Monster (didn't hit the top 100)
Coldplay - Yellow (87)
Ben Folds Five - Brick (67)
Elliott Smith - Waltz No.2 (didn't make the top 100)
The Living End - Prisoner of Society (34)
Crowded House - Fall at your Feet (didn't make top 100 but Don't Dream it's over at 50 did)
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony (14)
Radiohead - Paranoid Android (5)
Muse - Starlight (not Top 100, but Knights of Cydonia made 18)

Other songs that Made the top 100 that I would have also voted for but didn't have space included:
Massive Attack - Teardrop (22)
John Lennon - Imagine (11)
Oasis - Wonderwall (12)
Bloc Party - Banquet (42)
Any of Jeff Buckley's Others Grace(69) , Lover, You Should Have Come Over(56), Last Goodbye (7)
Placebo - Every You Every Me (83)
Augie March - One Crowded Hour (59
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army (20)
Powderfinger - These Days (21)

Check out the whole list with pics and blurbs at the website!:

BBC axes Robin Hood!

July 3rd, 2009 (11:03 pm)

source: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/jul/02/bbc-axes-robin-hood

Well.. it was kinda coming. I must say, the 3rd season of Robin Hood has been disapointing for me. I haven't been as eager to watch each episode as they come out as I use to be with the 1st and occasionally the 2nd season. I still haven't seen the finale of Robin Hood either! I've only seen up to 309!

Can't say I'm terribily sad to see it go, sure I'm going to miss it, but with the amount of people (from the original cast) gone and from what I hear (and no I don't want to hear who, what, where or how dies/disapear/vanishes of the face of the earth - cause I will eventually get around to it) it's A LOT of them, I'm kinda glad it's ending!

At least there's still Dr Who and Merlin though!

How's That for Irony!?!

October 24th, 2008 (07:59 pm)

Well recently I've been in an 80's Peter DeLuise phase watching some of his old works, mainly Seaquest DSV and 21 Jump St... And I must say he's awesome in both, more so 21 Jump St, but just looking up Peter DeLuise on imdb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0896585/). On his Filmology, it looks like he's playing a new role this year - "Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon" (and according to someone on the board the air date is meant to be: November 8th at 9pm) and who should Peter DeLuise the previous Stargate Atlantis director and producer be playing but no other than "John Sheppard"!!! lol (although granted the Shepard on SGA has only 1 p in his last name!) Anyway I thought that was ironic!

On another note, is anyone going to the Armageddon Convention in Melbourne?!? The one where both David Hewlett, Kavan Smith and Gary Jones are going to be attending (or at least I hope so with no other cancellations - as Michael Shanks AND David Anders both can celled), cause I just bought meself a ticket!!! yay! Anyway.. does anyone have any burning questions they'd like for me to ask any of them in the Q&A if I get the chance?

Anyway.. I'm excited and can't wait to go!

The Gate is dead :(

August 21st, 2008 (01:53 pm)

Well.. it's an early announcement, but yes.. my favourite show that's been a weekly fixture for the past 13 years of life has officially been canceled. There's been god eps and bad eps, but on the whole it's been something I've looked forward to every Stargate night eve!

I was a little skeptical about SGA when I first heard about its conception, but after the 2nd episode it had me hooked, and found me some very exceptional actors! Well I guess the good thing is that many of these SGA actors have got a great fan base and a few of them have even started thier own little side projects! So good on them!

Anyhoo... Now that we know, it'll only make these last few episodes dearer to my! But for the future... What am I going to do now that the 13 year run of Stargate in general has ended!

‘Stargate Atlantis’ Ends Sci Fi First Run After Season 5
2-Hour TV-Movie Greenlit For 2009 As Stargate Franchise Lives On In Features

By Kent Gibbons -- Multichannel News, 8/20/2008 5:59:00 PM
Space drama Stargate Atlantis will conclude its run on Sci Fi Channel after the current, fifth season ends next January -- but the network has greenlit a two-hour Atlantis movie to run after that and says the show will live on as a network franchise.

After airing on Sci Fi sometime next year, the untitled Atlantis movie will be sold as a home-video title by producer MGM, Sci Fi told Multichannel News on Wednesday.

Longtime Stargate writers and producers (and Atlantis show runners) Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie will write the Atlantis feature script. Other details, such as how many cast members would participate or who would direct, were not immediately available.

"We're excited to tell Atlantis stories on a bigger canvas,” Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, co-creators of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis and currently executive producers on Atlantis, said in a statement. “The successes of the two original Stargate [direct-to-video] movies The Ark of Truth and Continuum have shown us the opportunities that the movie format offers. We have plans for both SG-1 and Atlantis to remain vital as we expand the franchise."
